Springfield Chiropractor : Dr. David Dolberg

"I obviously love my job."

Springfield Chiropractor, Dr. David Dolberg

After nearly 30 years in practice I am still asked why I decided to become a Chiropractor and how it seems I obviously love my job. I explain that I learned long ago that health does not come from a bottle of pills; health is about choosing a positive lifestyle and making good choices about food, exercise, and how you take care of your body. Having the opportunity to help a wide variety of people understand this concept is truly rewarding.

Since 1982 I have treated many wonderful and interesting individuals of all ages, from every walk of life and from many countries. These include government employees, mechanics, diplomats, professionals, construction workers, politicians, pregnant women, our military, new mothers, and amateur, high school and pro athletes. Nothing can compare to the satisfaction I feel when I provide an individual with relief from pain that they had not previously experienced.

Chiropractic Education

I am a 1978 graduate of Arizona State University and earned my Doctor of Chiropractic in 1981 from New York Chiropractic College where I received special recognition for service and leadership; but school seems forever ago. In truth, I have learned more from my patients then I learned in any class or from any book. Every adjustment I perform and every x-ray I read is enhanced by my many years of experience.

Springfield Chiropractor wants you to know how important you are.

I believe in the importance of family, community and integrity. I provide compassionate care because I consider your health and well-being important. I am active in my local, civic, and religious community, have served on many boards and continue to offer my time, skill and interests to many organizations.

To remain current I have taken numerous continuing education courses to enhance my knowledge and skills. Some of these include specific classes on auto injuries, disc damage, advanced Chiropractic techniques, patient safety, and a broad variety of extremity techniques. As a member of the Executive Board of the Unified Virginia Chiropractic Association I have been involved in leadership, planning and implementation of the advancement of Chiropractic in Virginia. Being involved in elevating the skills and knowledge of all Chiropractors in Virginia is particularly important and rewarding. We bring in the best speakers and educators and offer frequent opportunities to sharpen our skills.

Dr. David Dolberg loves his job.

So why do I love this job? It’s because I have the privilege of helping patients attain their health goals and I see it happening before my eyes. At Family Chiropractic of Springfield we listen, we evaluate, we consider options, and provide the best chiropractic care available. In the end, when your patients see your concern and you deliver quality care they can’t help but thrive. And what could be more rewarding than that?

Dr. Dolberg Asks some important questions of interest to Springfield residents - Chiropractor Springfield Dr. Dolberg Asks...

Why is a "slipped disc" unlikely?
Separating each spinal vertebra is a disc. Its fibrous outer ring holds in a jelly-like material. Because of the way a disc attaches to the spinal bones above and below it, it can't actually "slip." However, a disc can bulge, tear, herniate, thin and collapse. But it can't slip.
How could a child benefit from chiropractic?
Regardless of our age, each of us in Springfield encounters physical, chemical and emotional stresses that exceed our ability to handle. For newborns, it could be the trauma encountered at birth. For toddlers it could be from learning to walk or ride a bike. Many of the problems we chiropractors see in adults are the result of neglected traumas from childhood.
